A purposeful everyday 100% organic cotton tee created as a reminder to remain patient and steadfast upon Islam when obedience becomes difficult and compromise appears easier.

The front features the Ummah Balance logo. The back carries an abstract geometric hand holding a burning ember, alongside the words Perseverance. Steadfastness. Truth.

The design is inspired by the hadith in which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ described a time when the person who remains patient upon his religion will be like someone holding onto a burning ember.

The image reflects the difficulty a Muslim may experience when trying to obey Allah during times of temptation, doubt, pressure, and widespread neglect of Islamic teachings. It points to the believer who strives to protect the prayer, avoid what Allah has forbidden, remain honest, restrain the nafs (the self and its desires), and hold firmly to the Qur’an and the authentic Sunnah.

Sabr is not passive waiting. It includes remaining patient in obedience to Allah, restraining oneself from sin, and responding to trials in a way that pleases Him.

Perseverance means continuing in obedience despite difficulty and discouragement.
Steadfastness means remaining firm upon Islam while asking Allah to keep the heart upon guidance.
Truth means holding to what is established by the Qur’an and the authentic Sunnah, rather than following pressure, desire, or popularity.

Hardship by itself is not proof that a person is upon the truth. The standard is what is established by the Qur’an and the authentic Sunnah. This piece is not a celebration of difficulty for its own sake, but a reminder to remain obedient to Allah when following the truth requires patience and sacrifice.

The meaning also connects to the ghurabā’ (the strangers), those who remain committed to Islam when its teachings become neglected or unfamiliar. This does not mean seeking isolation, harshness, or attention. It means remaining sincere, patient, and firm upon the truth while maintaining wisdom and good character.

The black colourway gives the piece a bold and understated finish, allowing the artwork and its message to remain the focus.

This design does not contain Qur’anic verses, the Names or Attributes of Allah, or sacred text. The geometric hand and ember are conceptual reminders only. The reminder is not in the fabric itself, but in what the design points back to.
